Order

A punishing death/black metal outfit based out of Oslo, Norway, Order has ties to a host of Scandinavian and European extreme metal institutions, including Mayhem, Cadaver, Celtic Frost, Satyricon, and Gluecifer. The group was founded in 2013 by Manheim and Messiah (both ex-Mayhem), and Anders Odden and René Jansen (both ex-Cadaver). In 2014, Gluecifer bassist Stu Manx took over for Jansen, who passed away that year after battling Leukemia. Pledging "to restore order and celebrate Pure F*****g Armageddon for all," the band issued their debut long-player, Lex Amentiae, via Listenable Records in 2017. ~ James Christopher Monger
