Oliver Schnyder Trio

About Oliver Schnyder Trio

The Oliver Schnyder Trio has made major recordings of core 19th century repertory since its formation in 2012. The trio is led by Swiss pianist Schnyder. It has sometimes gone by the name of the Schnyder Trio, making its debut with a concert at the Zurich Tonhalle. The group was signed to RCA Red Seal and in 2013 issued an album of Schubert: Piano Trios. This and a follow-up album of Brahms Trios won acclaim. The Oliver Schnyder Trio has also been active in the unusual role of accompanimental group, collaborating with tenor Daniel Behle and violinist Vilde Frang, among others. It has made annual tours of the Far East as well as of Swiss and German venues. ~ James Manheim
