Octubre Doce is a Mexican regional music duo made up of singer Stephany Pompa and singer and guitarist Omar Robles. Even though both grew up in Caborca, a small town in Sonora, and entertained similar musical aspirations, they didn't meet until 2012, when they found themselves singing together at a party. Excited about their musical compatibility, they decided to form a group, and named it after the date of their first meeting: October 12. The duo soon became popular on YouTube with their cover versions of artists such as Espinoza Paz, Banda MS, and Ariel Camacho, as well as some original compositions. Octubre Doce's debut album, Echando Raíces, appeared in mid-2016.
