Nothing People

Hailing from the kind of remote rural locale that can lead to the opposite extremes of either crippling boredom or remarkable creativity, Orland, California's Nothing People thankfully opted for the latter. While the band's murky space-punk sound isn't totally unique (traces of Chrome and proto-punk outfits like Simply Saucer and Pere Ubu), the band's cosmic slop is inspired in a way that's been matched by few in the late '00s underground. The band released a handful of excellent singles before releasing a pair of vinyl only LPs in 2008 and 2009 on the Sacramento-based S-S Records label.
