About Noemy

Talented Latin singer and songwriter Noemy Torres Esparza started her career at the age of 15. As many other artists, Esparza participated in different contests, such as New Mexico's All-State and representing Banda Marchanta at Zia Festival. These events drove her to get involved in show business. Esparza decided to study music after receiving a scholarship from New Mexico University, adding knowledge to her previous studies of classic flute and opera. Esparza had the opportunity to travel to Spain while being part of the university's chorus. She decided that she wanted to perform professionally, so the young artist worked at night, singing, to save money and get her first songs recorded. Later, Fonovisa signed her up and she released 1996's Eternamente, getting the hit single "Mentiras." A year after, Encadenada came out, followed by 1999's Armando Sueños y Esperanzas. ~ Drago Bonacich
