About Nobi

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up in a very musical household. Some of my earliest memories include listening to my mom, grandma, uncle, and auntie sing gospel and stealing the Linkin Park Hybrid Theory album and listening to it on my walkman. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kendrick Lamar, To Pimp a Butterfly Lupe Fiasco, Lupe Fiasco's the Cool Bonus Track Version System Of A Down, Hypnotize My parents thought System of a Down was a phase but I will never grow out of wanting to protest through my art and they showed me at an early age how far you could take that. TPAB and The Cool redefined how to approach a concept album for me. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Cloth of a King” Writing Cloth of a King made me feel like a Super Saiyan. Like One-Punch Man. Sometimes you just gotta talk that talk and I feel like I did that with Cloth of a King. Plus the beat smacks. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing a sold out show for 600 in my hometown of Tri-Cities. Playing all around the PNW. Hitting a cypher at ETC Tacoma. Opening for Lil Wayne, getting to make music with my friends. There's a lot to be thankful for. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? So much, I have a very long list. I would say at the top is touring world wide and I'm tryna collab with Serj Tankian.
