London-via-Los Angeles indie rockers Nightmare & the Cat were formed in 2010 by brothers Django and Samuel Stewart, sons of Eurythmics founding member Dave Stewart and Bananarama's Siobhan Fahey. After working extensively in various bands around L.A., the brothers were joined by vocalist/guitarist Claire Acey, bassist Scott Henson, and drummer Spike Phillips to form the new act. The band signed with Capitol Records in 2013 and released its debut Simple EP shortly after signing. Nightmare & the Cat toured extensively in the States in May of 2014 and released their debut album, also dubbed Simple, later that summer. ~ Fred Thomas
