About Musto & Bones

A highly successful, albeit brief, liaison between DJs Tommy Musto and Frankie Bones, which resulted in club success with singles such as ‘Dangerous On The Dance Floor’ and ‘All I Want Is To Get Away’. In retrospect ‘Dangerous’ might well have achieved more signifcant crossover success had it been more fully backed by the duo’s record company, with a long time delay between its UK and domestic release. The partnership eventually dissolved after a solitary album as Bones spent more of his time DJing, while Musto remained in New York to oversee their company and studio projects: ‘Basically, we also grew apart musically’ is how Musto remembers this period. He would go on to become a hugely successful remixer to the stars, while his former partner persevered on the live circuit and concentrated on his Sonic Groove Records enterprise. The duo was still contracted for another album, however, and subtle, but amicable, litigation proceeded until Bones could be removed from the contract, Musto offering instead his collaboration with Victor Simonelli, Colourblind.
