In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest memories is playing saxophone as a kid while my dad played the electric guitar. I’d sit on the floor trying to follow along, not knowing what I was doing—just caught up in the sound. That’s when I knew music was part of me. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Mannheim Steamroller, Fresh Aire III Pat Metheny Group, Letter from Home Spyro Gyra, Catching the Sun These albums each hit me in a different way. Catching the Sun opened my ears to jazz fusion, Letter from Home felt like a late-night conversation, and Fresh Aire III was unlike anything I’d heard—classical, electronic, and strangely beautiful. Tell us why you chose this song. “Tears Behind the Curtain, Room 117” I wrote this after hearing a little girl crying in the ER—hidden by a curtain, but her sobs filled the room. That sound stuck with me. This piece came from imagining what she was feeling when no one could see her. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments was listening back to my music and hearing each theme and counter-melody come to life again. I could remember what inspired them—the good and bad health moments. It reminded me how thankful I am to be alive. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? These songs are part of my therapy. I want to finish the ones still waiting in my head and keep creating music that helps me process this journey. Even finishing just one brings me joy.
