In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. my dad is a huge sound gear nerd, so growing up us kids got to play with some pretty sweet audio toys. doing mini recording sessions, or playing around with the sequencer on a keyboard - it was amazing! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? AJR, The Click Gotye, Like Drawing Blood Gotye, Making Mirrors AJR is so dope. they are masters of production magic and ear candy. listening to them is a full-brain experience, there is always something unexpected and delightful. Gotye's songwriting and experimental production style is a big inspiration to me. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Heavy” i wrote this song and the rest of "the other" for an indie thriller movie about a girl with two personalities living inside of her. it was so cool to have a prompt like that for my creative process. i think it reflects the darkness quite nicely. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? my soundtrack for a sunset ep got used in season 4 of temptation island, and it was a trip to notice people actually shazaming my music and listening to it! as an indie artist it's a pretty amazing feeling. stoked peeps dug it enough to look it up. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? i just want to continue building worlds and taking people places when they hear my stuff. i'm always learning new production skills and i get more excited about each new project. here's to the future! it's gonna be good.
