In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember making a beat at a friend’s house and then rushing to the Hip Hop Shop in Detroit to ask the DJ to play it. That day the legendary Producer J Dilla was there to hear it and gave good feedback. As you could imagine that was a very good day! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Anita Baker, The Best of Anita Baker LOFI Worship, LOFI Worship: Volume 1 - EP William Augusto, Piano & Hope, Vol. 6 - EP The mood, memories, and melodies of these albums have been a soundtrack for my life at some point and time. Tell us why you chose this song. “Imago Dei” The instrumentation and emotion of the song makes me close my eyes and imagine the immense power and beauty God used in creating Humans in His own image. Why His image? We wouldn’t have known the difference. Extreme love for us is shown in this. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I went to breakfast with a friend who told me his still has my album in rotation from 2011. That’s love! It’s a dream for all artists to make something that has meaning years later. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to grow everyday as a person and a producer. God bless.
