In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first musical memory was of my mom, sitting next to me on a piano bench when I was three years old, using the piano keys to show me how to harmonize. Another was singing the Doxology with my family during devotions when I was three years old. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? James Taylor, Gorilla (Remastered) John Mayer, Room for Squares Stevie Wonder, Innervisions Remastered These albums are filled with rich, deep, meaningful lyrics and a variety of styles and melodies that make me reflect on life. Each album was like a friend I talked with during difficult times in my life. These artists define singer/songwriter to me. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “I Will Give Heed (Psalm 101:2-4)” This song is a declaration of how I intend to live my life in Christ; with integrity and striving toward being blameless. I used to end my concerts with this song. It is also the first song I ever promoted to radio, and it ended up #5 on the charts. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The special moments in my career as a musician all have to do with the wonderful people I have met and formed relationships with. I also really enjoyed driving with my family all over the country to see new places and make new friends. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would love to sing with my musical heroes, (not sure that is ever going to happen). At this point, it would be nice to just break even to continue putting out recordings. Hopefully, I can get a worship album out with songs to be sung in churches.
