About Megaherz

Founded in Munich, Germany in 1993, Neue Deutsche Härte band Megaherz were notable for their Nine Inch Nails- and Rage Against the Machine-inspired sound. Megaherz have experienced continual lineup changes, even during the earliest days of their recording career, with singer Alexander "Alexx" Wesselsky the sole remaining founding member of the band by 1998. The group's proper debut album, the Rammstein-esque Wer Bist Du?, was released in 1997, followed by Kopfschuss in 1998 and Himmelfahrt in 2000. The band's fourth album, Herzwerk II, arrived in 2002. Even Wesselsky departed soon thereafter, with new singer Mathias "Jablonski" Elsholz on board for 2004's 5. Another singer, Alexander "Lex" Wohnhaas, joined the group in 2007, prior to the release of Heuchler. Megaherz issued seventh album Götterdämmerung in 2012. ~ Christian Genzel
