About Mazatl

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I quit playing guitar when I was eight years old. I didn't like sitting in a room learning from a book. It wasn't until I was 22 years old that I picked up a guitar again. Instant obsession! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Danit, Aliento Deidre Muro, Red Afternoon Edie Brickell, New Bohemians, Shooting Rubberbands at the Stars Each one of these albums feels like comfort to me. The voices of these incredible artists are warm, comforting, and safe. Call me a sucker for female singers, but I love every track on all 3 of these incredible recordings. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Heya Pachamama” I'm picking this song because I had the incredible honor of working with two powerhouse female singers that just brought this track to life—Hannah from Hannah's field on harmonies and Bridget Livingston as the voice of Pachamama. Blessings to both! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing the music for ceremonies every month. That's where the music is the most in service to the mystery of life, to spirit, helping people heal. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Continuing my studio of the piano as I am in love with it. One day I will release a piano-based album!
