About Max Samuel

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Meeting Determine for the first time in 2003 while djing at a corporate event. He invited me to his studio and the rest was history. That sparked my initial interest into engineering and music production. I started recording dubplates & learned alot. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Marley & The Wailers, Legend – The Best Of Bob Marley & The Wailers Ini Kamoze, Ini Kamoze Jackie Mittoo, Tommy McCook, Winston Wright, 50 Greatest Hits Jackie Mittoo and Friends These albums shaped my musical taste as a 80s baby I was more into dancehall and hip hop but fell in love with the slow heavy rolling groovy basslines and the melodies. The powerful messages of spirituality and social commentary of Bob Marley. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “El Exodõ (feat. Jordan Mais) (Instrumental)” This was the first time for me dabling with Latin style music and my friend Jordan Mais played the guitar so perfect on that track. The project came out better than we expected and that is one of the most unique Rddim Insrumentel I've ever crafted. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When Skeng recorded on one of my unfinished beats and seeing it trend for 3 weeks in the top 10 charts for music in Jamaica on YouTube. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to work with Junior Gong and Kabaka Pyramid.
