In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up in a musical family. My Dad played bass, my Mom sang, and my brother played the drums. I remember being in middle school and having an impromptu jam session one Christmas. We all learned "Come Together" by The Beatles. It was epic! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Noah Cyrus, The Hardest Part Radiohead, OK Computer Switchfoot, The Beautiful Letdown "The Beautiful Letdown" was when I realized faith could be expressed subversively in music. "OK Computer" forced me to listen past mainstream appeal and enjoy subtleties and nuance. "The Hardest Part" gives me hope for folk songs in a pop world. Tell us why you chose this song. “Who I Am” "Who I Am" began as a journal entry challenging myself to not give into external pressures as a person or musician. There's so much consumption. I want to be a part of the creation. And that starts with embracing who I truly am, on and off the stage. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I think the process of writing, recording, and releasing my first EP was pretty magical. I had been doing music for so long, just never under my own name. IThere were parts of me that really came alive when I had to risk true artistic vulnerability. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There's a venue in my town called The Vogue. It isn't crazy or anything, but if I could sell it out someday, it would be a personal marker of success on a local level. That's what I'm most interested in. Building community in person, not just online.
