In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. From about the age of 6, I would put shows on for my extended family holiday gatherings. I stood on the fireplace mantle and played my favorite songs, choreographed to dance moves, and taught the back-up parts to my younger siblings. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Mary Mary, Mary Mary TLC, FanMail Each of these albums is not only captivating from start to finish, but each was groudbreaking in its time in the R&B/hip hop/gospel genres. Tell us why you chose this song. “Where Would I Be Without Your Grace?” This is my first single as a solo artist after being the lead vocalist in the band Right Hand Shade for the past 7 years, and it really shows my individual sound and writing style. The message is intended to encourage listeners towards gratefulness. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I got to open for one of my all time favorite artists, Phil Joel. I listened to his band The Newsboys growing up and saw them in concert several times, and it was a dream fulfilled to share a stage with Phil and his band. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There are several things! One of my goals for the next year is to set up an East Coast tour to get to some of my fans', friends' and families' home churches for a show. I'm also planning a trip to Nashville to perform and record in the next year.
