About Mark Searcy
A versatile blues, rock, and jazz guitarist, Mark Searcy took up the instrument in his early teens but didn't actively pursue his musical dreams until much later in life. After a 15-year hiatus spent raising a family, he suffered a workplace accident that damaged several of his fingers. He returned to the guitar as a form of rehabilitation, releasing his debut album, Like Father, Like Son, in 2005. Since then, the Arkansas-bred, Texas-based artist has issued a slew of wide-ranging efforts like Bullseye (2010), St. Mary's Street (2015), and Arkansas Boy (2021) that deftly incorporate elements of prewar blues, Delta blues, folk, jazz, country, and rock & roll.
