In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I attended Pete Seeger's summer camp in Vermont when I was little, and we used to sing old folk standards by the fire. There was also a room with an old piano. That's where I began to teach myself to play early in the mornings before anybody woke up. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kanye West, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy Michael Jackson, Thriller The Beatles, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band To me, these are all examples of albums that tested, pushed, or defied musical boundaries yet still were able to cross into popular culture anyway. I believe music would be drastically different today if any of these albums never existed. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Nightstand (Single Version)” Nightstand was the first song that I feel really captured my voice as an artist. I spent over a year developing the track in my tiny apartment with my brother. We were really missing our family back home and I feel like this song captures that. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Although I never base my success on the opinions of others, it meant a lot to me when my work was praised by mentors Jim Scott, Peter Bunetta and Brian Malouf. When Jim texted, "I don't like it...I LOVE IT" I knew I had made something special. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I really want to collaborate with a team of creative producers and artists at the highest level. I've got some names in mind but won't share them here yet :) They inspire and motivate me every day to get better and break new boundaries with my art.
