Beyoncé, Lemonade The O'Jays, So Full of Love U2, All That You Can't Leave Behind Lemonade, tapped into something historical shared by all women but poignantly thru black women's oral narratives & traditions. All That You Can't Leave Behind, I equate it to Joshua Tree for the 21st Century. Tell us why you chose this song. “Charley” While walking to the "old" Belcourt to see Kim Richey in Nashville, I passed a woman talking on her cellphone who proclaimed out loud, "if he knew that I slept with Charley"! I knew that I had to write a fabulous tale of liberating mischief. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Getting a Billboard Magazine premier and write up about my song and music video, They Ain't Gonna See Me Coming: An American Western in December 2019! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I am LGBTQ. I have been writing and playing since I was 11. I am a country/soul storyteller, a singer-songwriter from the South, so if my catalog of music is worth its salt, I would like to make a little money from it some day (while I am alive).
