Lovewhip

About Lovewhip

By combining genres of worldbeat that range from African rumba, juju, and soukous to the Jamaican roots of ska and reggae to American influences of blues, funk, and punk, the seven piece of Lovewhip definitely standout in their native of Boston. Consisting of Erin Harpe (vocals/guitar), Jim Countryman (bass), Steve Goldmann (percussion), Nick Sowles (drums), Eric Platz (drums), Nancy Loedy (alto sax), and Aaron Gelb (tenor sax), the bands self-coined style of worldpop was captured on their 2000 debut full-length of Whip It Baby. ~ Mike DaRonco
