About Loona Dae

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories involve the piano. Growing up, my sister and I shared a Casio piano that had tunes programmed on it. I learned them all by ear at about 5 or 6 years old. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Erykah Badu, New Amerykah Part Two - Return of the Ankh Frank Ocean, Blonde Kendrick Lamar, To Pimp a Butterfly These albums were soundtracks to my 20s and shaped how I write and listen to music, today. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Ultraviolet” I love this song because I produced it. This was a point in my career where I began to feel more confident about my style and approach as a producer. I learned that I should always trust the process and ultimately trust myself. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Some of my most memorable moments in my career include playing in New York City with Foushee and PUCK. Another moment is playing Lollapolooza Aftershow in Chicago opening for Sampa the Great! The fans were so sweet. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Touring nationally and internationally are definitely on my bucketlist as an artist but I would also love to work with Quincy Jones; Robert Glasper; Grace Jones; Questlove.
