Ligeti Ensemble

The Ligeti Ensemble is a chamber group who exist as a project of Concerto Budapest. Their primary objective is to showcase significant works of the 20th and 21st centuries, with particular emphasis on Hungarian works, particularly the compositions of Gyorgi Ligeti, as well as his peers, contemporaries, and in some cases, famous students such as György Kurtág. Their debut album, Responses to Ligeti, was recorded in collaboration with the jazz group Miklos Lukacs Cimbiozis Trio.
