In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Music was always a big part of my upbringing. I remember my mom would bring me to see symphonies at Ravinia and would have me pick out the different instruments. I think that shaped my attention to fine detail whenever I listen to music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Motion City Soundtrack, Commit This to Memory Spanish Love Songs, Brave Faces Everyone The Hotelier, Home, Like Noplace Is There I think these albums create the perfect balance of emotionally gripping lyricism and catchy, well-crafted songwriting. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Adventures in Ego Death” This song was a rollercoaster to write. There were so many pieces that came to me at different times, which all came together perfectly to complete the arc of the song. Lyrically, I feel really proud of it too. It's a janky structure but it works. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Definitely getting to open for Spanish Love Songs. That band shaped our sound and to find out that Kyle, their guitarist, was really into our stuff was so cool and motivated us to really take this thing seriously. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We would definitely love to play The Fest in Gainesville. So many of our favorite artists are part of it each year and I just love the atmosphere of that event.
