Levon Eskenian studied piano at Komitas Conservatory in Yerevan, and also learned to appreciate the music and research of G.I. Gurdjieff. Eskenian founded the Gurdjieff Folk Instruments Ensemble in 2008 to continue the exploration of Eastern European folk and spiritual music. He is also a founding member of the Naregatsi Chamber Music Society, which performs Western classical music.
