In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up in Elefsis, an ancient town near Athens, where I witnessed many outdoor folk festivals with music from Romani, Arvanites, Turkish weddings. Those were my first tribal musical experiences which determined my musical growth. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Berliner Philharmoniker, Pierre Boulez, Ravel: Daphnis et Chloé Guinga, Casa de Villa Keith Jarrett Trio, Keith Jarrett Trio: Tribute These albums have a beautiful and healing energy. Tell us why you chose this song. “Mediterrana” Although I am listed as the composer, this piece was "downloaded" through me. I wrote it in "one breath" in 20 minutes with a vivid imagery of a beautiful Saracen woman traveling with pirates in the Mediterranean Sea from port to port.
