In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 7, I asked my mom if I could move to LA to pursue a pop music career. When she said yes, I cried. Little did I know that she meant after I earned a degree in music... but hey. Still made it there, eventually. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Beyoncé, RENAISSANCE Katy Perry, PRISM (Deluxe Version) Sleigh Bells, Treats PRISM by Katy Perry is pure pop perfection. Treats by Sleigh Bells is the soundtrack to my life. RENAISSANCE by Beyoncé is simply the best album of all time. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Flowers” My favourite year in music was 1998. I just loved Paula Cole, Fiona Apple, Sheryl Crow, Shawn Colvin, and No Doubt, and I feel that Flowers really reflects the magnetic aspects of what made that year in music so special to me. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The first time that a song I wrote charted on a Billboard chart, it was a collaboration with my best friend Linney. The song is Electric Kids by Tritonal & Linney, and it's about the spirit of joy and connection that music has the power to cultivate. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Oh 100%. I would love to cultivate a community of like-minded humans that are actively working to live a life that honours their spirit.
