About Lauren Mascitti

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories was growing up in church watching Cheryl Jamison, the woman who became my first voice teacher, sing in our church choir. She was so good and had such an electrifying presence about her. She influenced me heavily. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Delbert McClinton, One of the Fortunate Few Don McLean, American Pie Linda Ronstadt, Heart Like a Wheel "Heart Like A Wheel" by Linda Ronstadt, "One of the Fortunate Few" by Delbert McClinton, and "American Pie" by Don McLean are three of the most influential on me as an artist and songwriter. They have all shaped me into who I am creatively. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “God Made a Woman” "God Made A Woman" is probably the most meaningful song I have ever released. It was inspired by my Nana that raised me. She is the ultimate Proverbs 31 woman and I wanted to put all of the qualities she exemplifies so beautifully into a song. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My most memorable moment in my career so far was getting to play the Grand Ole Opry for the first time 5/7/21! Getting to stand in that circle playing my Papaw's guitar while my grandparents watched in the audience was the best feeling ever. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There are a few things left on my bucket list as an artist! I would love to win a Grammy someday. I would also love to have #1 songs as a songwriter, either for myself or write them for someone else.
