The first song I learned was Picture by Sheryl Crow.. and I got to see her perform at Ottawa Bluesfest a few weeks later. She played the song, and my dad said "you should be up there with her". I grew up listening to these artists and albums on repeat. They are intertwined in my songwriting, my musicianship, my being as an artist. The making of this song was a huge learning experience, from how to produce, how to pitch to radio, how to promote my music. I still have a lot to learn but this is where it all started.
