In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest music memories are listening to music in the car with my dad on the way to kindergarten. He would always play the classics like Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys and Minnie Riperton. This is when I first remember developing my love for singing. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Alicia Keys, The Diary of Alicia Keys SZA, Ctrl Stevie Wonder, Songs in the Key of Life These are albums that have shaped my understanding of music and songwriting. These projects have inspired me to be the artist I am today Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Purpose” All I’ve ever wanted from my music was to give others a place of comfort and to feel understood. The response I’ve received to this song is what makes it so special to me. The song came from a place of confusion and writing it was very self healing What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing at SXSW and being a part of the Dolby Atmos Accelerator. Being able to mix my music in Atmos has changed the game for me. I was able to find the sound I’ve always been looking for in a mix and met some incredible people in the process. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Performing at the House of Blue in Boston. It’s a dream of mine to play this venue, specifically in my home state.
