Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Bird and Diz Expanded Edition The final studio reunion of Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie, with a rare early appearance by Thelonious Monk whom Bird recommended specifically for this date. An essential and well-recorded document as well as a time-honored gateway into jazz. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Sitting next to guest soloist Mark Turner while playing in the saxophone section of the Blue Note Beijing Jazz Orchestra on New Year's Eve 2016, marveling at his soulful playing and deep personal humility. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Performing in any capacity at the Village Vanguard.
