In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember listening to records as a 4 or 5 year old. I was completely transformed by the music: it was rewiring my brain. It took me to another world, and I was a willing traveler. I listened to music constantly in my room as a young person. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Lou Donaldson, Alligator Bogaloo Pat Metheny, Bright Size Life Pink Floyd, The Dark Side of the Moon Remastered Alligator Bogaloo because it has a good time vibe. Benson, Lonnie Smith, Idris, what a rhythm section! Bright Size Life because Pat took the jazz language and made it his own. Dark Side of the Moon because it creates a fictional world. Kadesh Flow)” I love this tune because of the imagined imagery that helped me create it. The escaped enslaved persons heading to freedom.
