About Junior Senior

The energetic Danish dance-pop duo Junior Senior urged the world to “move your feet and feel united” on their 2002 global smash “Move Your Feet.” • Jesper “Junior” Mortensen and Jeppe “Senior” Laursen formed Junior Senior in 1998. They’d previously played together in the Britpop-inspired band Ludox. • Junior Senior released their debut album, D-D-Don't Don't Stop the Beat, in 2002 via the Danish indie label Crunchy Frog. • Lead single “Move Your Feet” quickly became the most-played song in Denmark. The infectious single soon charted in countries around the world, including the UK, where it topped the dance charts and reached No. 3 on pop. • The follow-up single “Rhythm Bandits” peaked just outside the Top 20 in the UK. It would be the group’s final hit in that country. • Junior Senior’s sophomore LP, Hey Hey My My Yo Yo, was released in the UK and Japan in 2005. When it finally arrived in the U.S. two years later, it reached No. 5 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. • The group disbanded in 2008 to pursue various solo projects.
