About Julianna Joy

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Music became a part of me when I was 8. I had asked for a guitar that Christmas because I wanted to look like Taylor Swift. My dad walked out with a black guitar case right after I finished opening all my gifts, and I instantly fell in love. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? HOLYCHILD, The Theatrical Death of Julie Delicious Lorde, Melodrama Taylor Swift, Red (Taylor’s Version) [+ A Message From Taylor] 1 - Red by Taylor Swift. It was the album that made me want to write songs. 2 - Melodrama by Lorde. It was the album that made me get more poetic. 3 - The Theatrical Death of Julie Delicious by Holychild. It made me want to be more theatrical. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Orange” Orange was so special to me because it was one of the first songs I wrote when I moved to LA. I had written it with Ariza about "Midsommar", the Ari Aster horror that came out the summer before. It was the first time I pushed myself to get weird. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being featured on the Zane Lowe show was really cool. It was amazing hearing someone who's spoken to my idols and interviewed them and talked about their music talk about my music in the same way. It really gave me an "oh sh*t, this is real" moment. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Would love to play Lollapalooza. Would love to get on the Billboard Top 100. Would love to go on a sold out headline tour.
