About Joselyn & Don

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Don grew up in a musical household. His father was a bandleader who played classic country, Hawaiian, and the popular songs of the day. I grew up listening to my parents '70's singer-songwriter records, the Laurel Canyon sound in my Montana backyard. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Fleetwood Mac, Rumours (Live) Indigo Girls, Indigo Girls Expanded Edition Stevie Wonder, Innervisions Remastered We love amazing songs. Fleetwood Mac had some of the best songwriters on the planet and the Indigo Girls went right for the emotional jugular with lyrics and melodies that cut to the heart. And there's no one like Stevie in the musical universe. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Give up the Ghost” This song is about the legacy of racism and slavery with a simple message - when we acknowledge the ghosts of the past and deal with our history, we can move forward together without hate and in joy. Trying to bury the past can only hurt our future. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? We love Willie Nelson and the family band, so it was a thrill when we opened for Chris Stills (son of Steven Stills) and his special guest was Lukas Nelson. It's great to meet and play for people who inspire you, and to connect with our audiences. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We're recording a new album now! We're hoping that this project will reach a wider audience and that the songs will connect to any listener that needs them. We have more songs to write and roads to travel. See you out there!
