Affable singer and actor Jorge Muñiz, also known as El Coque, is one of Mexico's leading practitioners of musica romantica. Some of the Mexico City native's best-known hits include "La Otra Parte de Ti," "Casa Siempre Estoy Pensando en Ti," "Amigo," and "No Prometas Lo Que No Será." As an actor, he is perhaps best known for co-hosting the long-running television show Nuestra Casa on channel 4TV. One of his most successful albums was Serenata (2008); released by Televisa EMI Music, the Top Ten hit is an homage to los Panchos, los Ases, los Tres Caballeros, and el Pirulí that features duets with Ana Cirré, Manuel Mijares, Ana Velasco, and El Coque's father, Marco Antonio Muñiz. ~ Jason Birchmeier
