In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Performing as a kid in front of about 20 parents at a school music event. I actually sang classical tenor as a kid and recited poems. I also performed the anthem to my high school on the piano, which I co-wrote a year after. Sweet memories. Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Mos Def, True Magic Redman, Muddy Waters These are three of my favorite lyricists ever, these albums represented various phases in music history where I respect the associated culture of poetry and lyricism. Tell us why you chose this song. “Lead You Afar” It's my first release after staying out of music for so long and the courage I needed to get beyond the hesitation. It also reminds of me of how I survived Covid scares 3 times and how I promised to follow my heart moving forward.
