About Jonny Mogambo
Led by singer John Reid Lindner, this Colorado based band is rooted in Chicago blues and also rhythm and blues. Starting in the mid-eighties in the Boulder, Colorado area, Jonny Mogambo performed throughout the club and bar circuit. It was the same circuit where groups like Leftover Salmon, String Cheese Incident and Big Head Todd would hone their craft. In 1998, the group released its debut album Colorado Golden. A tour across Colorado as well as the Midwest ensued, resulting in a small but loyal following for Jonny Mogambo. The band found its niche by performing throughout ski resorts in the region, especially Vail, Colorado. Dubbing its sound as "skunkabilly", Jonny Mogambo released Jonny Mogambo Wired And Unplugged in 2002. ~ Jason MacNeil
