About Jonathan Barnes

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up listening to bluegrass music and The Allman Brothers Band. One of my earliest memories was listening to my dad playing guitar and mandolin in the kitchen after supper, and the sounds of Skaggs & Rice on the tape player during the day. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? The Allman Brothers Band, Eat a Peach The Flying Burrito Brothers, Hot Burritos! The Flying Burrito Brothers Anthology (1969 - 1972) Tony Rice, Church Street Blues I remember the first time I heard the Allman Brothers with their jazz-infused blues rock with country twin guitar leads, it was the best of all the worlds to me. Acoustic bluegrass, electric country, and hard-hitting rock and roll. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “ar-4300 (access Reader)” When I was in college, there were doors that could only be opened with a swipe of a card through an "AR-4300" access reader.
