About John Heartson

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was just three years old standing on a wooden chair playing 78 rpm records on my grandmothers Victrola. I also remember feeding the juke box when I was 5 in St. Veronique, Quebec. My favorite song then was, Wheels by Billy Vaughn And His Orchestra What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Boston, Boston The Alan Parsons Project, The Alan Parsons Project - All the Best The Guess Who, The Best of the Guess Who In 1972 "The Best of The Guess Who" was the 1st album I ever bought. (Being 50% French Canadian I felt a connection to them.) In 1976 I purchased "Boston". Tom Scholz is a genius. In 1982 I bought "Eye in the Sky" produced by the great Alan Parsons. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “In Vermont” As a songwriter, this song was a gift. I wasn't trying to write a song, I was just trying some new features in Logic Pro X. I grabbed a drum beat, a ukulele strum and started singing. The lyrics in the first two verses are true. It's a happy song! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Doing a vocal harmony rehearsal with a band I had, while sailing on Lake Mascoma and getting the harmonies perfect. (then to our surprise we heard applause from the shore) Hearing my music on radio while driving across the US. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? As a singer/ songwriter and recording engineer; my ideas are always bigger than that of a typical singer songwriter. My dream is to perform one big concert with a full band that can play all my songs including "Message from John" (John Lennon)
