In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Crying at the piano while practicing due to frustration. I could "hear" how things were supposed to sound, but my hands/fingers could never keep up. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? AC/DC, Back In Black Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, No Quarter Owsley, Owsley Back in Black exudes a confidence no other album can match. The Owsley album is an awesome parade of songwriting, performance, and production. The No Quarter album was a life-changer for me in terms of rearranging and reimagining songs. Tell us why you chose this song. “Stand By” Stand By makes me smile when I hear it because of the collaboration involved in writing the song. I love that the "stank" of Brian McRae and Eben Grace is all over this one. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Engineering an album featuring David Liebman, Dave Holland, and Jack DeJohnette. I love that I was the very first person to hear that recorded performance by three NEA Jazz Masters playing together. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? At some point I'm going to my own version of Freddy Mercury's "DAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY-OHH" thing and it's not going to backfire.
