About John Berry

Unusually for Nashville country singers, who often secure major label backing much earlier in the careers than in most other genres, John Berry was successful on the indie level for over a decade before he signed with Capitol Records in 1992. A string of mainstream hits then followed for the country star for the rest of the ‘90s, including “Kiss Me in the Car” and “Standing on the Edge of Goodbye.” Returning to indie labels starting with the 2000 holiday collection MY HEART IS BETHLEHEM, Berry has maintained a devoted fan base.
