About Jodie Nicholson

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Watching live concert DVDs as a kid with my dad. Tori Amos, Roger Waters, Rick Wakeman & Rush were keen favourites & I'd wish I was one of Roger Waters' backing vocalists (a dream that still holds strong). It made me really fall in love with music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Daughter, Not To Disappear The National, I Am Easy to Find Warpaint, Warpaint These 3 albums have been on heavy rotation in my car since I got it (5 years ago now!) and have soundtracked so many moments, milestones and changes in my life. They're incredibly inspiring, moving and a huge source of comfort, joy, escapism to me. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Move” 'Move' always felt like a curveball track from me & I was nervous to put it out. Releasing it pushed me out of my comfort zone, taught me more about the music I really want to make & has since connected with people more than I ever could've imagined! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Opening Wilderness Festival's main stage in Summer 2021. The stage was HUGE - I was there with my keyboard, sample pads and acoustic guitar looking like a small figurine! It rained, a handful of people watched and I had SO much fun playing on stage. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I wouldn't necessarily say I have a bucket list, but I'd love to soundtrack a moment on TV, an advert, a series, a movie or a game. It's such a huge achievement for any artist & it'd be really cool to see something I've written featured in that way!
