About Jessie Allen Cooper

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was in grade school I started collecting and listening to music. In the eighth grade, I started playing the harmonica. Then while in the ninth grade I went to a Deep Purple and John Mayall since that day many years ago I never stopped playing. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Miles Davis, Kind of Blue The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Electric Ladyland Every time I listen to Electric Ladyland I’m captivated by the outstanding performances. Kind of Blue is a must-own for any jazz enthusiast. I was in the studio recording my “Moment in Time” CD while the Rippington's was recording Tourist in Paradise Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Soft Wave” The Soft Wave album was one of the first digitally mastered CDs and reached the Billboard Chart in 1989. The six-song CD was originally released on Narada/Sona Gaia. The title track appeared on four samplers including the Hallmark catalog. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In 2007 I was hired the perform with my band for a Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation Benefit held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. Robin Williams was the guest speaker! Afterward, Robin shook my hand and said “thank you, great job." Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? My bucket list always seems to be coming up with new ideas almost every day. Music is a spiritual and uplifting event for me whether I’m writing, recording, and producing my own music or listening to new or older recordings by my favorite artists.
