About Jessica Cristina

Former Puerto Rican basketball and volleyball star, Jéssica Cristina got involved in music at the age of 15 while participating in a local contest called Juventud Vibra, soon after signing up to Sony Music. In 1992 Luis Angel produced her debut album, called Aprendiendo A Querer, including "Todo Es Vida," recorded along with Ricky Martin, and her first hit, "Cosquillas En El Corazón." In 1994 Carlos Lara produced her follow-up album, called Mas Allá. After moving to BMG, Jéssica Cristina started feeling captivated by tropical music, adding up merengue and bachata to her pop-ballad style. On her self-titled album released in 1998, Jissica Cristina made her debut as composer with a song called "Llanto De Pasión." ~ Drago Bonacich
