In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The first show I bought my own ticket to was when Doc Watson came to town - I was in 12. A few years later I was singing along in the pit at early Avett Brothers shows seeing a crowd breathing together. I love writing songs that people sing along to. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? David Piltch, Jay Bellerose, Larry Goldings, Music from the Front Room Julia Jacklin, Crushing Kacey Musgraves, Golden Hour I remember hearing Julia Jacklin sing at Shaky Knees and being mesmerized. I listened to "Crushing" in the van every day for a month. I know every harmony on "Golden Hour" - Kacey can I sing in your band? I want "Shelly My Love" played at my funeral. Aoife O'Donovan)” I wrote this song while bunkered down at home in western North Carolina during the front end of the pandemic. It's about someone losing a battle with addiction - and a community trying to heal after. Recorded with the type of band dreams are made of. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Mipso is my main musical family. Four buds who've been following an ever-shifting but shared vision for over a decade - it's special. The writing and recording of our upcoming record "Book of Fools" was cathartic and beautiful, a highlight for sure. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I just want to keep making music with my friends.
