When I was a kid, my parents and their friends would have parties where everyone who played an instrument would bring one and everyone would sing together -- folk songs, pop songs, rock song... It definitely set me on my musical path! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Gillian Welch, Revival Junior Wells' Chicago Blues Band, Hoodoo Man Blues Peter Schickele, The Wurst of P.D.Q. Bach Hoodoo Man Blues is just a fantastic electric blues album, Peter Schickele's sense of humor and stage manner has been a huge influence on me, and Gililan Welch's 'Revival' has wonderful and inspirational examples of different ways to write a song. Matt Everett, Joe Auger, Madeline Hayman & Seth Manchester)” I love the way this song's swampy feel came together in the studio. Matt Everett's cello-stringed viola makes for a didgeridoo-like drone under everything -- it's a unique sound that always makes me happy when I hear it!
