About Jørgen Munkeby
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The road to my current musical self started when I bought Sepultura's Beneath The Remains on CD. Also big props for adding an anti-drugs logo in the booklet. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? John Coltrane, The Very Best of John Coltrane Nine Inch Nails, With Teeth Pantera, Vulgar Display of Power My top album is Crescent by John Coltrane. (But I couldn't find it, so I added Best Of instead.) A great second place is Pantera's Vulgar Display of Power. Groovy af! Third is Nine Inch Nails' With Teeth. Never forget great melodies, kids! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My latest song is The Final Lullaby which I wrote together with Epica (NL). It's a lullaby for the end of the world. There’s toxic in the air, guns are going off everywhere, and we wave goodbye while the world ends and everything dies. Enjoy! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have played a live show at Trolltunga, a cliff hanging out 800 meters above certain death. I have played in the scolding California desert, and I've played every metal festival we have. But with every line checked off a new one is added to my list!
