About Hookers & Blow

An all-star hard rock/heavy metal covers band, Hookers & Blow was founded in 2003 by Guns N' Roses keyboard player Dizzy Reed and Quiet Riot guitarist Alex Grossi as "an excuse to drink for free in Hollywood." What originally began as a lark eventually morphed into a full-time gig, with the band embarking on nationwide tours and hosting residencies at legendary Hollywood haunts like the Whiskey A Go Go. Backed by a rotating cast of seasoned musicians over the decades, including Todd Kerns (Slash), Chip Z’ Nuff (Enuff Z’ Nuff), Mike Dupke (W.A.S.P.), Scott Griffin (L.A. Guns), Johnny Kelly (Type O Negative, Danzig), Mike Duda (W.A.S.P.), Nadja, and comedian Don Jamieson, among others, the band released their eponymous debut covers album in 2021 on Golden Robot Records. ~ James Christopher Monger
