About Hayden McHugh

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up I was in a program called the Youth Singers of Calgary where I learned to love the stage - singing and dancing in front of all those people lit a fire in me that I am still running on today. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Clean Bandit, New Eyes Remi Wolf, Juno Sigala, Brighter Days Juno is an album that changed my perspective on writing. Clean Bandit inspires me to push myself further when it comes to my music production. And finally, Brighter Days inspired me to make happy music, even if it didn't feel cool. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Forgettin' Ya” This song is one of my favorites because it's the only song that makes me cry - contrary to popular belief, this song is not a love song, but a song about losing friends as you grow. This song reminds me that you'll always carry them with you. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Headlining Calgary Pride 2019 - all those people in the audience, screaming my song "Take You" back at me. I'll never forget it. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Collaborate with Mariah Carey on a Christmas Song. I'm ready for my call, Miss Carey!!
